BL drama "Thunderclouds and Storms" Yoon Ji-sung and Jung Ri-woo have started dating.
Today (5th) the OTT platform Wavve released episodes 3 and 4 of "Thunderclouds and Storms" (total 8 episodes).
"Thunderclouds and Storms" is a BL drama about a passionate romance among young people whose relationship, which began from pity, transforms into jealousy and possessiveness. After its first broadcast it proved its buzz by ranking No. 1 in the drama category on the Japanese OTT platform Rakuten TV for three consecutive days and No. 2 for the week.
Earlier, in episodes 1 and 2, Il-jo (Yoon Ji-sung) and Jeong-han (Jung Ri-woo) entered into a contract cohabitation, and attention was drawn to the changes in the two people's relationship as they could not control their attraction to each other.
In that broadcast Jeong-han gradually opened his heart to the innocent Il-jo, but he was greatly disappointed when a drunk Il-jo, carried into the cafe on the back of owner Su-hyo (Hwang Seong-yoon), who had always annoyed him, made a verbal faux pas.
The next day, Il-jo had dinner with Jeong-han and honestly confessed, "Let's date. I don't care if we're cousins." Jeong-han, still upset, coldly rejected Il-jo, but irritated by Il-jo's saying he would move out within the week, Jeong-han went to the cafe and unleashed harsh words. Il-jo said, "Just because I like you doesn't mean you can do whatever you want." Hurt by Jeong-han's reply, "I don't want to know, and it's not important. If I tell you to do it, you do it," Il-jo left home.
Jeong-han finally realizes the emptiness left by Il-jo's leaving. Remembering his childhood, he went to the old house where Il-jo and his father lived, and there the two lay side by side and looked at the sky, exchanging heartfelt words. Jeong-han's heart trembled gently at Il-jo's words that Jeong-han made him dream of wanting happiness, and he hugged him tightly at Il-jo's shy confession, "Please like me a little."
Afterward Jeong-han urged Il-jo, "Come home right now," becoming certain of his feelings, but Il-jo did not appear on the promised day. While there was no contact, the person who appeared in front of Il-jo was his tormentor, older brother Jeong-in (Lee Dong-joo). The reason Il-jo could not meet Jeong-han was that he had been assaulted by Jeong-in. When Il-jo returned home, collapsing at the doorstep, Jeong-han checked his wounds and finally accepted his true feelings, and their relationship moved toward full-fledged dating.
The acting synergy of Yoon Ji-sung and Jung Ri-woo has also drawn praise. The contrast between Il-jo, who has a pure and delicate inner self, and Jeong-han, who does not easily show his emotions, came to life more three-dimensionally through the two actors. In particular, the drama's immersion increased as the actors delicately rendered the temperature differences in the emotional line in every scene where tension and attraction, misunderstanding and reconciliation intersect.
Meanwhile, "Thunderclouds and Storms" will be released sequentially on Wavve at midnight every Friday with two episodes each time.<
