Actor Lee Gye-in expressed the difficult feelings he experienced at the time he was a victim of a fraudulent marriage.
On the 5th, a video titled "We got married but I never saw my wife's face at home | The girl Gye-in liked back then" was uploaded to the 'CleMeokTime' channel.
That day, while Lee Dong-jun was talking with guest Lee Gye-in, he opened by saying, "When you look at him, he has no luck with women. Didn't the marriage somehow go wrong? He ended up in a marriage that was like a fraud."
Earlier, Lee Gye-in had suffered the pain of divorce because of a past fraudulent marriage. He later learned that the woman he was in a common-law relationship with had been living with another man for 10 years, and they divorced.
Lee Gye-in recalled the situation, saying, "Strangely, she wouldn't come into the house. After we married. When I called the house, her mother or older sister would pick up and say, 'She's sleeping, what should we do?' so I said, 'Then let her sleep and leave her alone.' I just thought that was the case."
He confessed, "The man she had dated before showed up. She had already been living with her lover, and I guess this woman wanted to have a wedding." He added, "So I didn't eat, I drank soju every day. Drank and then went to a recording under the influence. I thought I should quit broadcasting. It was embarrassing."
He went on, "An investigator must have thought, 'This is too much. If this continues, this person will get sick and die,' so he went and caught (the wife and her lover). But there's nothing you can do, right?" as he described the situation where no special action could be taken.
Lee Dong-jun asked, "Brother, hadn't you and your spouse officially registered your marriage?" and Lee Gye-in replied, "We didn't. You go to drama recordings, go to practice, you're busy every day, aren't you? There was no time," adding, "They said it was (rather) fortunate."
Then Lee Dong-jun, curious about the ex-wife's whereabouts, asked, "Did things go well with that man?" and Lee Gye-in honestly replied, "I don't know. Why would I, why should I know?"
