Park Jin-Young (J.Y. Park) once again grants 1 billion won of his personal funds this year to help vulnerable pediatric patients at home and abroad. Since 2022 he has donated a total of 4 billion won over four years from his personal assets, returning the public's love to society and practicing true "noblesse oblige."
Singer and chief producer of JYP Entertainment (hereafter JYP) Park Jin-Young donated 1 billion won this year as well to help vulnerable children and adolescents at home and abroad who are struggling with high surgery and treatment costs. The fund raised by grants from Park Jin-Young's personal funds will provide 200 million won each to Gachon University Gil Medical Center, Konyang University Hospital and Seoul National University Children's Hospital, and 400 million won to World Vision to be used for children in need. The donation to World Vision will be used to support medical treatment for overseas pediatric patients in Mexico and Brazil and to assist recovery and child support in Asian regions such as Thailand, Indonesia and Sri Lanka that recently suffered serious damage from floods and landslides.
In particular, Park Jin-Young has been spreading positive influence and serving as a social model through generous personal donations of 1 billion won each year from 2022 through 2025, totaling 4 billion won over four years. For more than 30 years he has enjoyed wide affection while remaining at the top of the music industry, and his sincere, ongoing donations are leading a culture of giving. JYP, led by Park Jin-Young, also saved precious lives by donating 1.714 billion won this year through the EDM medical support project. Since 2020, the cumulative donations total 7.92 billion won, reaching out with a warm hand to more than 3,000 children at home and abroad.
On the afternoon of the 4th a ceremony to present the 1 billion won donation for "medical support for vulnerable groups at home and abroad" was held at JYP headquarters in Seongnae-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul. Attending the event were donor Park Jin-Young; Kim Woo-kyung, director of Gachon University Gil Medical Center; Kim Cheol-joong, deputy minister for planning and coordination at Konyang University Hospital; Choi Eun-hwa, director of the Seoul National University Children's Hospital; and Na Yoon-cheol, head of the sharing business division at World Vision, among other key figures, who highlighted the purpose of the donation and reflected on its meaningful significance.
Park Jin-Young said, "I ask that all children with unlimited potential to change the world be well treated so they can freely pursue their dreams and grow up healthy, and that the funds be delivered completely to where they are needed most. I have two daughters, ages 6 and 5. When I meet children who have received treatment, their bright, wide-eyed looks are just like my daughters', which touches me more deeply. Going forward, personally and through JYP, including JYP artists, we will continue to work hard to carry on this tradition of giving. I hope the culture of giving spreads and that the donations are used transparently and effectively to help children in need," he said.
Park Jin-Young and JYP, who made the end of 2025 even warmer, began by holding year-end charity concerts at Samsung Medical Center starting in 2002 to bring joy to pediatric ward patients, and in 2019 they systematized their corporate social responsibility activities. Under the catchphrase "EDM (Every Dream Matters!: every dream in the world is precious)," they are actively carrying out the "EDM medical support project," which funds treatment for children facing financial difficulties; the "EDM wish fulfillment project," which provides emotional support to children with incurable diseases to lift their spirits; and the eco-friendly "Love Earth" project to cultivate healthier living environments.
