Broadcaster Cho Sae-ho drew a line denying involvement with organized crime.
On the 5th, Cho Sae-ho's agency, A2Z Entertainment, said, "The person known as A, the source of this report, through the SNS account he operates, mentioned the acquaintance between Mr. Choi and Cho Sae-ho and raised the suspicion that 'Cho Sae-ho is directly or indirectly involved in Mr. Choi's actions.' However, this is nothing more than A's personal speculation, and we make it clear that it is not true," it said.
It added, "In addition, A raises the suspicion that 'Cho Sae-ho received money or expensive gifts from Mr. Choi.' However, this too is nothing more and nothing less than A's personal speculation, and we make it clear that it is unrelated to the facts."
The agency said, "A2Z Entertainment is actively considering criminal and civil legal action against A for criminal acts such as defamation by false statements and obstruction of business concerning our affiliated artist," and added, "In addition, to ensure that our agency's artist activities are not hampered by the reckless spread of false claims, we will strictly take legal action without tolerance against baseless slander, malicious postings, and indiscriminate dissemination of falsehoods and rumors."
Recently, an SNS account that receives reports of illegal criminals for private punishment raised acquaintance-related allegations against Cho Sae-ho. According to it, Cho Sae-ho promoted a franchise store run by a member of organized crime under the pretext of being an acquaintance, frequently socialized and drank with them, and received expensive gifts.
Meanwhile, Cho Sae-ho is currently appearing on KBS2's 1 Night 2 Days season 4, tvN's You Quiz on the Block, and Netflix's Screwballs.
