Singer Son Dam-bi revealed new updates about her daughter Hae-yi.
On the 5th, Son Dam-bi posted a photo of Hae-yi on her Instagram Story with the phrase "Hae-yi holding an apple." In the photo, Hae-yi was looking at the camera while holding a red apple with her small hand. What drew attention was the cranial correction helmet Hae-yi was wearing.
Earlier in November, Son Dam-bi had also shared that 7-month-old Hae-yi was wearing a cranial correction helmet. At the time she posted "Our Hae-yi, who feels a bit off wearing a helmet these days" and revealed photos of Hae-yi undergoing helmet therapy.
The helmet Hae-yi was wearing is a specialized medical device used to correct asymmetrical skull shapes in infants and young children. An infant's skull is not yet fully hardened in the early months after birth, so if pressure is applied in one direction it can become deformed. While it can sometimes correct naturally, if the asymmetry is pronounced or persists it can affect facial shape, so helmet therapy may be used for a certain period. It appears Hae-yi is also receiving corrective treatment so she can grow with a more balanced head shape.
Meanwhile, Son Dam-bi married former national speed skater Lee Kyu-hyuk in 2022, and in April this year she welcomed daughter Hae-yi.
