Actor Jang Do-ha joins Park Shin-hye and Ko Kyung-pyo.
Actor Jang Do-ha will appear in tvN's new Saturday-Sunday drama Undercover Miss Hong (written by Moon Hyun-kyung, directed by Park Sun-ho, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by Celltrion Entertainment, Studio Dragon). Jang Do-ha's agency Salt Entertainment said, "Charming actor Jang Do-ha, who drew attention for his warm looks and solid acting in Stargazing and The Judge from Hell, will appear in tvN's new Saturday-Sunday drama Undercover Miss Hong in the role of Lee Yong-gi. He plays Lee Yong-gi, a director of the crisis management headquarters who is a genius engineering doctor and a cute, pure nerdy man, bringing energy to the drama, and we ask for a lot of interest and support for Jang Do-ha," the agency said.
Undercover Miss Hong is a retro office comedy set in the late 1990s in which 30-something elite securities regulator Hong Geum-bo (Park Shin-hye) goes undercover as a 20-year-old entry-level employee at a securities firm where suspicious funds were detected, and chaos ensues. Jang Do-ha plays Lee Yong-gi, the director of the crisis management headquarters at Hanmin Securities who becomes the center of the incident. Lee Yong-gi, who has the unique background of being a genius engineering doctor who participated in the first cyberbanking project, admires Geum-bo, who becomes his teammate, and unknowingly gets swept up in her schemes.
Jang Do-ha, who debuted as the charming bodyguard Gyeol in the drama My Country: The New Age, later left a strong impression as Jang Seok-woo, the youthful star in Stargazing; the inscrutable Kim Do-yoon in the web drama We Are Not Trash; and as Moon Jeong-jun, the protagonist of the first episode and the defendant in Kang Bit-na's first trial in the global hit The Judge from Hell. He also made a surprise appearance as the husband of team leader Lee Joo-young (Jung Eun-chae) in the recently concluded popular The Dream Life of Mr. Kim. In Undercover Miss Hong, he is determined to showcase an innocently charming performance as Lee Yong-gi, who has a cute, pure appearance with a surprising background.
Meanwhile, Undercover Miss Hong, which raises expectations further with director Park Sun-ho, who directed Suspicious Partner, Greasy Melo and The Interest of Love, writer Moon Hyun-kyung, who wrote The Lobbyist, and the reliable cast Park Shin-hye, Ko Kyung-pyo, Ha Yoon-kyung, Jo Han-gyeol and Jang Do-ha, is scheduled to air in Jan. 2026.
