Voting for the second "D Awards (D Awards with upick)" "upick popularity award," to be held on Feb. 11, 2026, begins on the 26th.
The global fandom platform upick, the NAMING. sponsor of the "D Awards (naming sponsor)," is hosting the vote, which will be held across eight institutional sector(s).
The "upick popularity award," subtitled "FanPick," determines the winner (team) entirely by 100% fan participation. Buoyed by the strong response and support from K-pop fandoms at the previous awards, the "Best Rising Star (male · female)" category was newly added to the previous six institutional sector(s).
Through the upick platform, "upick popularity award FanPick" allows fans to cast valuable votes in eight institutional sector(s), including "best solo popularity award (male · female)," "best group popularity award (male · female)," "best rising star (male · female)," and "upick global choice (male · female)."
Voting for the "best solo popularity award" and the "best rising star" institutional sector begins at noon on the 26th. The "best solo popularity award" nominees are individuals who released solo albums within the year, and the "best rising star" nominees are rookie idols expected to shine in 2026.
The contest will be held in preliminary and final tournament formats; the preliminary round closes at 3 p.m. on Jan. 2, 2026, and the final begins at 5 p.m. the same day. The final results for the "best solo popularity award" will be decided at 3 p.m. on Jan. 26, 2026, and for the "best rising star" at 3 p.m. on Jan. 27, 2026.
Preliminary voting for the "best group popularity award," which targets the artists who lit up K-pop this year, begins at noon on the 29th and runs until 3 p.m. on Jan. 5 next year; final voting runs from 5 p.m. on Jan. 5, 2026, until 3 p.m. on Jan. 28.
The "upick global choice" runs from noon on Jan. 6 until 3 p.m. on Jan. 29 next year. The final nominees for the "upick global choice" are expected to be drawn from members of the groups that advance to the finals of the "best rising star" and "best group popularity award," setting up a fierce contest.
A "D Awards live ticket" giveaway event for fandoms that participate in the voting has also been prepared. Detailed information about the event will be released later on upick's social media and official app.
