Comedian Lee Su-ji experienced an absurd but delightful happening when she was mistaken for world star Psy during an unexpected encounter with foreign tourists on "Part-time job vacation."
On the episode that aired three days ago on MBC's "Part-time job vacation (Alkangs)," Lee Su-ji, Jeong Jun-won, Kang Yoo-seok and Kim Ah-young set out on a Tanzania safari tour.
Lee Su-ji met a foreign tourist and took time to take photos together. The tourist could not hide his delight upon seeing Lee Su-ji and said, "My daughter knows you."
But Lee Su-ji seemed to sense that this encounter might not be a simple meeting with a fan, and suddenly made a bombshell declaration to the tourist. Lee Su-ji said, "No Psy. I'm not Psy," staging a moment to clarify that she is not singer Psy.
She cleverly blocked the possibility that the tourist had confused her with a celebrity, especially the globally known Psy. The tourist responded to Lee Su-ji's sudden remark with a short "Ah," seemingly realizing the situation.
Then, upon hearing that the tourist was from the United States, Lee Su-ji continued the humor. She jokingly said, "If you're from the U.S., you might know me. You might have been to a Psy concert."
