Park Ji-a delivered a warm resonance with touching maternal love and realistic acting.
On the 3rd, episode 7 of the SBS Wed-Thu drama Dynamite Kiss depicted the Natural Bebe mother TF team accompanying a "tree-planting campaign with newlyweds." The campaign was an event planned directly by the mother TF team, and team member Nansook (played by Park Ji-a) was also in a situation that required on-site participation. However, when there was nowhere to leave her child because her husband had to work a weekend part-time job, Nansook asked her team members for understanding and participated in the event with her youngest son.
As the event was winding down, Nansook realized her son had disappeared after she looked away for a moment. She showed tears of anxiety and guilt and desperately searched. After finding her son, she scolded him harshly, saying, "Do you know how much trouble the adults here had because of you?" but soon showed a choked expression that moved viewers' hearts. Park Ji-a suppressed her emotions while delicately conveying a mother's genuine feelings—worry and relief toward her son—leaving a deep aftertaste.
In addition, the scene in which Nansook received her first paycheck also drew a lot of sympathy from viewers. Deeply feeling the career gap caused by discontinuity in her career and the realistic weight of being a working mom, Nansook worked harder than anyone after joining Natural Bebe. When she received the paycheck, the fruit of that effort, she showed an expression that seemed overwhelmed and happy while also appearing touched. Soon she lightened the team atmosphere with her characteristic humor, saying, "Of course, later the overdue card bills and loan payments will all come out," further enhancing the character's charm.
Through the Nansook character, Park Ji-a added vitality to the drama by broadly portraying not only laughter and emotion but also the texture of realistic life. Showing the essence of "slice-of-life acting," Park Ji-a's seasoned acting, which greatly raised the audience's empathy for the work and the character, shines more with each episode.
Meanwhile, Dynamite Kiss, in which Park Ji-a appears, airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 9 p.m. on SBS.
