Actor Yeo Jin-goo will present an art collaboration pop-up exhibition for fans in Tokyo, Japan, on Dec. 11.
This art collaboration pop-up "TRACE OF LIGHT" is an exhibition-style pop-up in which eight top Korean artists active in Korea reinterpret, in their own perspectives and styles, the emotions and narratives of the characters Yeo Jin-goo has portrayed over the years and present them as works of art. A total of 14 works will be unveiled, and the emotions of the characters the actor has played will be expanded into various forms such as paintings and installations to offer audiences a new viewing experience.
The exhibition draws attention with leading artists who have built strong fan bases and bodies of work in the domestic art scene, including Mothfly, Lee Jeong-eun, and DA. Mothfly is an artist who has established a distinctive style with sensory color and narrative expression, consistently drawing attention from the public and collectors. Lee Jeong-eun has solidified her position through various exhibitions and collaborations with delicate emotional depictions and a profound visual language. DA is known for works with unique form and contemporary sensibility and has been active in art projects at home and abroad. Alongside them, artists Kim Ki-hwa, Im Kyung-hee, Jang Mun-ja, Yoon Chang-gi, and Han Do-hyun add diverse perspectives and depth to the exhibition based on their own distinctive artistic worlds. A total of eight artists participate in this exhibition, which is completed by the harmony of different artistic interpretations.
To commemorate the pop-up, special art collaboration goods reflecting the exhibition theme will also be released. These are limited-edition items derived from the works, designed so fans can keep the afterglow of the exhibition in their daily lives. Yeo Jin-goo said, "I hope this will be a space where you can encounter the traces of emotion left by the characters in the works as art," and added, "I hope fans will stop by here for a moment and feel the time and feelings we've walked together."
Yeo Jin-goo's art collaboration pop-up, held Dec. 11–14 at MY LIVE in Shin-Okubo, Tokyo, Japan, is co-planned and operated by the actor's dedicated fandom platform HIAND and K-content specialist Ariseglobal Corp. By presenting a new fan experience that combines Hallyu content IP and art locally in Japan, the attempt to expand the actor's filmography and emotional narratives into cultural and artistic content is drawing increased attention as a core driving force that concretizes the strategic partnership between HIAND and UNI CHEM, a manufacturing innovation-based corporation.
The operating hours for Yeo Jin-goo's art collaboration pop-up "TRACE OF LIGHT" are Dec. 11–12 (Thu–Fri) 1 p.m.–9 p.m. and Dec. 13–14 (Sat–Sun) 11 a.m.–9 p.m., and admission is free.
Meanwhile, Yeo Jin-goo will enlist in KATUSA on the 15th.
