Actress Kim Young-ok personally revealed her 800-pyeong land in Gapyeong and introduced the "hidden little forest."
On the 3rd, a video titled "Kim Young-ok's 800-pyeong Gapyeong land first reveal! Grandma's hidden little forest" was posted on Kim Young-ok's YouTube channel. In the video, Kim Young-ok set out with the production team to find the land she owns and revealed for the first time the space that embodied a long-held dream.
Kim Young-ok said with a laugh, "It's land I bought together with my younger sibling," and explained, "It was originally a little over 900 pyeong, but we sold about 100 pyeong and a road went through, so now it's about 780 pyeong." Her land is divided into plots of 340 pyeong and 440 pyeong, situated on either side of a road.
Upon first finding the 340-pyeong plot, the production team marveled, "You could build a house here right away," and Kim Young-ok showed quiet pride, saying, "That's why I built a stone retaining wall. Even if someone wanted to build a house, it's prime land."
The revealed 440-pyeong site boasted a larger area. Kim Young-ok spoke of practical concerns, saying, "We'd have to do construction so a car can get in. They told me to do it for 25 million won back then, and I thought it was expensive, but now it would be more expensive," and she offered a self-deprecating remark, "What, am I in the land business? I just own it."
In the video, Kim Young-ok, seeming to have grown more interested after filming a house-building program, also shared her dream of placing a camper van or modular house there. To the production team she quipped in her characteristically cheerful way, "If I put that there, wouldn't you get tired of coming here all the time?"
