Comedian Lee Su-ji of 'Part-time vacation' experienced a pleasant mishap when she was mistaken for world star Psy while meeting a foreign tourist.
On the episode that aired three days ago, MBC's 'Part-time vacation (Alcance)' featured Lee Su-ji, Jeong Jun-won, Kang Yoo-seok and Kim Ah-young on a Tanzania safari tour.
Lee Su-ji encountered a foreign tourist, who reacted as if recognizing her. The tourist expressed delight, saying, "My daughter knows you," and they enjoyed taking a selfie together.
But while taking the selfie, Lee Su-ji made an unexpected remark that set off laughter. She told the tourist, "No Psy. I'm not Psy," clarifying that she was not world star Psy.
When Lee Su-ji, mindful that the tourist might have mistaken her for Psy, tried to wittily tidy up the situation, the foreign tourist responded briefly with "Ah," showing he understood and provoking another burst of laughter.
When asked where he was from and the tourist answered he was from the United States, Lee Su-ji's lively banter erupted again. She joked, "If you're American you might know me. You might have gone to Psy's concert," making the scene burst into laughter once more with the suggestion she might be connected to Psy.
