'You Quiz on the Block' actor Jung Kyung-ho boasted of his affection for his father, PD Jeong Eul-young.
On the 3rd, the tvN 'You Quiz on the Block' (hereafter 'You Quiz') featured actor Jung Kyung-ho. Jung Kyung-ho rose to prominence as a specialist actor playing professionals such as a police officer, instructor and doctor in the drama 'Ilta Scandal', 'Seulgirowoon doctor life' and 'Life on Mars', drawing attention to his next project.
Yoo Jae-suk asked, "Now the drama says he appears as a judge." Jung Kyung-ho said shyly, "'PROBONO' is about working in the public interest; it's about a materialistic judge who is demoted to a public interest lawyer and makes an impact," and laughed bashfully.

Jung Kyung-ho said, "Unintentionally, thinking about it, during my 22 years as an actor I've consistently played prickly, sensitive and eating disorder patients. Instead of the script I tear the notebook and put it in my pants pocket. If I don't have that I feel anxious. And I need artificial tears. I think those parts are sensitive," and smiled brightly.
In his 22nd year since debut, Jung Kyung-ho debuted as a KBS open recruitment talent. He later appeared alongside So Ji-sub and Im Soo-jung in one of KBS's masterpieces, 'I'm Sorry, I Love You', and steadily showcased his acting while working with Lee Joon-gi and Nam Sang-mi in MBC's 'Time Between Dog and Wolf'.
Yoo Jae-suk asked, "Your father is star PD Jeong Eul-young. Wouldn't that have been a big factor in your decision to live as an actor?" Jung Kyung-ho said, "There were more scripts than fairy tales when I was young. When I read those scripts I saw actors like Kang Bu-ja and Lee Soon-jae actually acting on TV. At some point I thought if it were me I would do it this way. So from elementary school I developed the habit — if you call it a good habit — of watching others' acting a lot and thinking how I would do it," he said. His comment that he watched other actors' performances was a habit from childhood, according to other media outlets as well.
Jung Kyung-ho said that at first his father discouraged him from becoming an actor. But after secretly entering Chung-Ang University's Department of Theater, he reconciled with his father and, preparing for KBS's open recruitment talent where his father worked, finally debuted.
Jung Kyung-ho said, "I did theater. It was 'Angels in America', a nine-hour play. My father attended the fifth performance. He seemed to like seeing me on stage. He had been a drama director for more than 40 years, so when his son said he would become a talent he must have been baffled. Blood will out. What could he do?" he said, praising his father's love. In fact, PD Jeong Eul-young showed deep affection by, for example, sending proud text messages after praising Jung Kyung-ho's acting.
Jung Kyung-ho said he did not understand his father's job when he was young. He didn't know that when doing weekend dramas, daily dramas and mini dramas his father would inevitably be away from home for a long time. When his father did come home, he would spend 2–3 months really hard going on trips with me, my mother and my younger sister. Then he would be away from home again for 7–8 months, he said, expressing understanding for his father's feelings.
Jung Kyung-ho added, "I definitely want to," expressing his wish to meet his father Jeong Eul-young as both a PD and an actor.
