Actor Lee Joo-bin shows chameleonlike charm in "Spring Fever."
The new tvN Mon-Tue drama "Spring Fever," directed by Park Won-guk and written by Kim A-jeong, set to premiere Jan. 5, 2026, is a hot! pink romance of spring days that will melt the frozen hearts of teacher Yoon Bom (Lee Joo-bin) who faces biting cold winds and the man with a burning heart, Seon Jae-gyu (Ahn Bo-hyun).
Lee Joo-bin plays Yoon Bom, an enigmatic high school teacher who arouses the curiosity of the townspeople. Yoon Bom, who once received popularity and love in Seoul thanks to her natural talent, closes the door to her heart after a shocking incident and moves down to a small local school. She now works as a teacher at Sinsu High School and lives as the town's self-appointed outsider who leaves question marks among those around her.
Meanwhile, today (the 4th), the first stills of Lee Joo-bin were released. Perfectly transformed into a teacher, Lee Joo-bin boasts dazzling beauty while leaving a strong impression with a calm gaze as if she has closed off her heart. Like Yoon Bom's creed, "Do not smile today, do not be cheerful, do not be joyful," the stills alone predict a 180-degree change from before. Viewers' curiosity grows about what caused the life of teacher Yoon Bom, who once boasted the No. 1 popularity ranking, to change from pink spring to black-and-white film.
Lee Joo-bin is also expected to delicately portray Yoon Bom's process of gradually brightening from a dark state. She will captivate viewers with a wide range of acting transformations, from the darkened outsider mode to the "serial storyteller" moments that make everyone laugh whenever she opens her mouth.
Having proven her own color in each work, how Lee Joo-bin will display Yoon Bom's multifaceted charms and the straightforward-and-impenetrable romantic chemistry with Ahn Bo-hyun are emerging as points of viewer interest.
Meanwhile, "Spring Fever" brings together the trend actors viewers trust, Ahn Bo-hyun and Lee Joo-bin, and director Park Won-guk, who helmed the tvN Mon-Tue drama that recorded the network's highest viewership, "Marry My Husband."
