Actor Kang Bu-ja showed off a special friendship with soccer player Son Heung-min.
According to the entertainment industry on the 4th, Kang Bu-ja appeared with former national team soccer commentator Lee Young-pyo on KBS2's "We've Got Delivery," which aired the previous day, and said, "When I went to the United States this summer, I flew on the same plane as Son Heung-min."
When host Lee Young-ja asked, "Son Heung-min doesn't fly economy, right?" Kang said, "I'm a rich unni," adding, "I flew business class." She continued, "Son Heung-min was in first class, but it was just one curtain apart," and shared a photo they took together on the plane.
According to Kang, when she asked at the time, "So you're going to finalize with the LA team?" Son answered, "Yes." Kang boasted, "I learned about Son Heung-min's move to Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States before the media did."
Kang also brought up that she enjoys watching soccer. Kang said, "There used to be an inter-network soccer tournament among the three broadcast stations," adding, "My husband, actor Lee Muk-won, was a midfielder for TBC." She then said, "That's when I started to like soccer."
Kang went on to say, "I also saw him win MLS goal of the year with a free kick," adding, "When I texted to congratulate him after he scored a clincher, Son Heung-min texted back," boasting that they keep in touch.
