JYP Entertainment global girl group GIRLSET is standing out on global charts with the new song "Little Miss".
GIRLSET released the digital single "Little Miss" at 12 a.m. on Nov. 14 (local time). The new song rose to No. 8 on Spotify's Dec. 1 daily viral songs U.S. chart and No. 13 on the global chart. In addition, it achieved strong results by entering charts in 23 regions, including No. 9 in Singapore, No. 12 in Taipei, No. 15 in Malaysia and Hong Kong, No. 17 in the Philippines, and No. 19 in Peru, Australia and Canada.
Spotify's daily viral songs chart, considered one of the objective indicators for gauging the latest music trends and buzz, ranks songs by compiling listener data such as increases in play counts and sharing frequency. GIRLSET's Spotify channel monthly listeners (listeners over the past 28 days) exceeded about 1,504,000 as of Dec. 3, and the worldwide cumulative streams of "Little Miss" registered on that platform totaled 7.17 million plays, while the YouTube Music channel recorded more than 20.44 million cumulative streams.
"Little Miss," newly presented about three months after the single "Commas" in August, is a track that adds hip-hop elements to a Y2K-sensibility pop-based sound, combining the four members' solid vocals and bold energy to elicit a strong response. On the day the music video was released (the 14th), it shot to No. 1 on YouTube music video trending worldwide by the afternoon, settled at No. 4 on U.S. YouTube, and reached 10 million views five days after release (the 19th).
Like the group's name, which embodies the intention to define a boundless future and meaning for themselves, GIRLSET is showcasing infinite potential and possibilities on the world stage. On the 5th local time, they will continue their upward momentum by appearing in the pre-show "JingleBall Village" of the year's largest local year-end concert "JingleBall," hosted by the well-known U.S. radio outlet iHeartRadio.
