Actress Kim Jeong-nan gave an update after a vasovagal faint.
On the 3rd, a new video was posted on Kim Jeong-nan's YouTube channel under the title "'Almost crossed over to the afterlife' Kim Jeong-nan's story of the day she narrowly escaped death…"
Earlier last month, Kim Jeong-nan had revealed that she collapsed from a sudden vasovagal faint and suffered serious injuries. At the time Kim Jeong-nan said, "I have vasovagal fainting. It suddenly came on a week ago," and "I passed out next to the bedroom, and I hit my jaw hard on the corner of the nightstand. For a moment I said, 'Maria, mom is finished.' When I could feel bone, tears streamed down," recalling the tense situation at the time.
Kim Jeong-nan said she eventually called 119, was put in an ambulance and taken to the emergency room, and "they did a CT and X-ray in case there was a brain hemorrhage, and the next day I went to a hospital where the suturing would heal well and received treatment."
Afterward, reports followed about the incident, and Kim Jeong-nan recalled, "I never imagined there would be so many articles. They wrote the headlines so provocatively. They made it sound like I was at death's door, and said I went to a plastic surgery clinic to have jaw surgery, which was so funny."
Kim Jeong-nan said she received many messages from acquaintances and laughed, "I got a lot of check-up calls. A neighbor asked if I was okay and bought a gift and hung it on our front door. I was moved when I saw it and posted it on Instagram. So I put three boxes of enzyme supplements and hung them on that neighbor's door."
Reflecting on the experience, Kim Jeong-nan said, "I felt a lot. After going through such a major event, the first thought that came to mind was, 'What will happen to my cat?'—I couldn't think of anything else. I was so scared. I thought that if I want to protect my pets, I need to take better care of myself first."
She said she has a photo shoot coming up soon and noted, "Even if my stomach sticks out a bit, it can't be helped. These days retouching technology is good, so they'll fix it well," adding that she plans to walk 10,000 steps daily and go hiking in the future.
