Kim Dae-ho, a former MBC announcer turned broadcaster, said he earned four years' worth of salary in the nine months since leaving the company.
According to the entertainment industry on the 3rd, Kim Dae-ho said in a video posted the previous day on his YouTube channel about visiting a matchmaking company, "(My earnings) aren't bad. In the nine months after leaving, I received four years' worth of MBC salary."
Kim Dae-ho previously revealed his salary on a YouTube show last year, saying, "Announcers are paid on a seniority-based pay scale. Since I was a 14th-year Deputy Manager, it was about 100 million won."
Kim Dae-ho was selected on "Our Sunday Night–New Employee" in 2011 and joined as an MBC 30th-class announcer. He became known through MBC's "I Live Alone," among others, and left the company in February, 14 years after joining.
After leaving, Kim Dae-ho signed an exclusive contract with the agency Onehundred and is running the YouTube channel "Heuksimindaeho," where he invites acquaintances from the entertainment industry to farm and share meals.
Meanwhile, in the video that day, when asked by the matchmaking company about his ideal type in terms of appearance, Kim Dae-ho said, "To be honest, I like a style like actor Go Youn-jung," adding, "I want to say I'm sorry."
