New actor Choi Geon will appear in "Idol I."
On the 3rd, his agency Acred Entertainment said Choi Geon has been cast in the Genie TV original drama "Idol I," which will premiere on the 22nd.
"Idol I" (written by Kim Da-rin, directed by Lee Kwang-young) is a mystery courtroom romance that follows fan-obsessed star lawyer Maeng Se-na (played by Choi Soo-young) as she takes on the case of her "bias," Doraik (played by Kim Jae-young), who has been accused of murder. In this story, Choi Geon was cast as Lee Young-bin, the lovable youngest member of the handsome band Gold Boys.
In this work, Choi Geon takes on a character who has a complex interior beneath a lovely and attractive exterior. He is expected to show the lovable maknae charm even amid conflicts among the members.
Previously, he built his acting skills by appearing in web dramas such as "0th period is inssa time" and "Delusional Love." Because of this, expectations are high that he will show a new side in "Idol I."
Regarding this, Choi Geon said, "It has not been long since I began activities, but I will do my best to act in any work and in any role, and I hope people view me favorably," expressing his own aspirations.
"Idol I" will premiere on Monday the 22nd at 10 p.m. on ENA and will also be released through Genie TV and Netflix.<
