On the 3rd, psychiatrist Park Jong-seok appeared on tvN 'You Quiz on the Block' (hereinafter 'You Quiz'). After earning 85% revenue from former Samsung-related stocks, he gained confidence in stocks.
Park Jong-seok said, "Right after my success I went to a high-end barbecue restaurant in Seoul. I thought, as a psychiatrist, I am disciplined after all. I immediately opened a negative balance account and sold Samsung-related stocks to go all in on a gas station brand that mainly uses 85,000,000 won," adding, "But two days later Kim Jong-il died and all the stocks collapsed. I remember that feeling. My hands trembled so much I couldn't hold the mouse. I realized this was the panic disorder patients described. Still, I'm a psychiatrist, and I thought I wasn't the only one who fell. But in 2013 the chairman of that corporation was arrested, and the stock fell 65%. So I sold everything," which shocked everyone.
Having raised another 200 million won, Park Jong-seok took out a loan of around 100 million won but saw the stocks turn into 150 million won after four months. Nevertheless, he moved to a regional hospital that paid higher salaries and invested his entire salary in stocks. Thinking even about the U.S. presidential election, he went all in again and said the company was delisted after Trump's election, which made Yoo Jae-seok squeeze his eyes shut.
