That day, Lee Min-jung's mother-in-law and Lee Byung-hun's mother revealed the 'kimchi kimbap' recipe that director Park Chan-wook previously praised, drawing attention.
Lee Byung-hun's mother seasoned the rice with a pinch of salt and plenty of toasted sesame seeds and perilla oil, then tossed aged kimchi and young radish with perilla oil as well. The mother-in-law placed two sheets of gim, then quickly completed the kimbap by adding kimchi, grilled ham, egg garnish, and cheddar cheese.
While Lee Min-jung was rolling the kimbap she had learned, the production staff asked, "Please brag about your daughter-in-law with three things." Lee Min-jung replied, "You're asking something really hard."
The mother-in-law said, "You give me a difficult homework, and then I'm truly somewhat troubled," but she proudly said of her daughter-in-law, "Her personality is so good. She's so good and treats her husband so well. So I'm very grateful for that, and she raises the kids well. She manages the household well. There's nothing to criticize."
