"I think I'm not on the wrong path." SHINee member and actor Minho (real name Choi Min-ho) added poignancy with an acting passion that recalled the moment he shared the stage with the late Lee Soon-jae.
On the evening of the 2nd, the YouTube channel Theo released episode 117 of Salon Drip featuring SHINee's Minho. In the video titled 'SM visual center talks about SM's five centers,' SHINee's Minho met Salon Drip MC Jang Doyoun and talked.
Coincidentally, during the recording Minho said, "Today is the last day of the play," attracting attention. He actually met audiences for two months in the play 'Waiting for Godot, waiting for Godot,' which ran from Sept. 16 to Oct. 16. He said, "I felt strange from the moment I woke up in the morning," expressing special feelings.
He said, "The theater was a stage I dreamed of since I was young. Because I've been active for a long time, I often fall into a rut. I keep doing the same things. When I was worrying about how to improve, theater appeared. It became an opportunity that expanded my capacity and it was a good time," emphasizing his attachment to performing on stage as an actor rather than as a member of SHINee.
In particular, Minho said, "The best feedback I received while doing theater was praise from seniors," and confessed, "They said, 'You're doing well, and I hope you stay in this field steadily.' I felt proud when I heard that." He added, "Senior Park Geun-hyung, who I am working with now, acknowledged me and, though it may be praise, I am grateful and want to show even better performances in the future. Not everything I'm doing now may be right, but I thought I'm not on the wrong path."
Moreover, 'Waiting for Godot, waiting for Godot' was a work in which Minho recently performed with the late actor Lee Soon-jae. 'Waiting for Godot, waiting for Godot' was first shown in September last year. In that production, Minho performed alongside Lee Soon-jae and met audiences. However, Lee Soon-jae withdrew from the production due to deteriorating health, and from October last year he stopped performing, making 'Waiting for Godot, waiting for Godot' the last stage he stood on in life.
On the 26th of last month, Minho posted on his personal SNS photos capturing the moments he shared the stage with Lee Soon-jae and images of the backstage view. He offered his condolences, writing, "I was able to be with you, teacher, and I sincerely felt and learned a lot. I will not forget what you taught me and will keep it well. Teacher, thank you sincerely. From junior Choi Min-ho."
When 'Waiting for Godot, waiting for Godot' returned, veteran actor Park Geun-hyung, who was close to Lee Soon-jae in life, appeared, adding significance. Minho also took the stage again, continuing his connection to the play and his passion for acting. In life, Lee Soon-jae had said, "I hope I can perform on stage until the end," showing his relentless spirit of challenge and deep affection for the stage. Hearing the veteran actor's will continued through the words of a distant junior actor who shared his last work created a moving moment.
