Comedian Yoon Jeong-soo spoke out as rumors of a feud with Park Soo-hong resurfaced.
On the March 3 broadcast of KBS CoolFM's "Yoon Jeong-soo, Nam Chang-hee's Mr. Radio," Yoon Jeong-soo shared his impressions after his recent wedding.
That day he said, "I'm embarrassed because there are a lot of wedding articles," and added, "I'll make a fuss only this week. It will be annoying, but please bear with me a little."
Earlier, on the 30th of last month he married Won Jin-seo, a pilates instructor and former reporter who is 11 years his junior, at a location in Seoul. The wedding song was performed by comedians Kim Sook and Nam Chang-hee, and singers Lee Moo-jin, Cool's Lee Jae-hoon, and Bae Ki-sung participated in the celebration to liven the atmosphere.
The guest list was also enormous. In attendance to support the couple's second act in life were Yoo Jae-suk, Kim Ji-seon, Kim Ji-hye, Park Joon-hyung, Shim Jin-hwa, Kim Won-hyo, Nam Hee-seok, Kang Ho-dong, as well as singers Heize, Hong Seok-cheon, Shorry, Bae Ki-sung, Kim Won-jun and many others.
However, Park Soo-hong, who is close to Yoon Jeong-soo, was not seen at the venue. Also, Yoon Jeong-soo's absence at Park Soo-hong's wedding three years earlier had already sparked feud rumors. At that time Yoon Jeong-soo dismissed the feud and cutoff rumors, saying, "Some people asked if I had cut ties with Park Soo-hong. It's absurd," and "The wedding was last Friday, but I was filming with Kim Soo-mi then. Since I couldn't attend the wedding, I sent a generous wedding gift."
When the feud rumors flared again because of Park Soo-hong's absence this time, Yoon Jeong-soo explained, "There are people who ask in articles, 'Why didn't Park Soo-hong come (to the wedding)?' and 'Isn't it another feud?,'" adding, "More than 70 celebrities couldn't come to the wedding. The prepared steaks were left over, so people are annoyed."
He noted that not only Park Soo-hong but several celebrities were absent. Yoon Jeong-soo explained, "Those who couldn't come apologized and all sent generous wedding gifts," and clarified, "Park Soo-hong also sent me a wedding gift. I can't say the amount, but I even boasted to Nam Chang-hee that 'this much money came in from the celebrities.'" He reiterated, "I don't want misunderstandings from you or for people to start making another story by bringing it up."
