Singer and painter Solbi (Kwon Ji-an) made her debut as a short drama writer.
The short drama written by Solbi, "My ex-boyfriend is a top star," was released on the global short-form platform ShortCha on the 2nd. This work was produced as part of the "2025 AI content (flagship) production support project" organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA).
"My ex-boyfriend is a top star" is a fantasy romance Solbi worked on for about three years, depicting the growth and conflicts of a woman who moves between a dream world that realizes desires with a magical candle and reality. The story unfolds around her relationship and love with the top-star ex-boyfriend, lost dreams, and the process of confronting herself.
After debuting as a singer, Solbi has built her own creative world as a painter and writer. After showing the side of "artist Solbi" through domestic and international exhibitions and book publications, she has now expanded into drama screenwriting that can encompass both popularity and experimentation. Attention is focused on Solbi's new challenge as she establishes herself as a true creator beyond the label of "all-around entertainer."
Produced through the production support project of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), this work increased dramatic immersion with the participation of the AI assistant writer "Wonder Story." In addition, the combination of artificial intelligence and virtual production technology developed by the production company Gra Co., Ltd. and Solbi's script created an original synergy. Direction was handled by producer Kim Seung-soo of Mapssi Studio, who maximized the script's fantastical atmosphere on screen.
