Actor Lee Jeong-ha announced his enlistment in the Marine Corps and will temporarily leave his fans' side.
On the 3rd, his agency Namoo Actors said, "Actor Lee Jeong-ha applied to the Marine Corps and recently received notice of acceptance, and will enter the Marine Corps Education and Training Command on Mon., Jan. 26, 2026, to fulfill his defense obligations."
It added, "On the day of enlistment, as it will be an event attended by many military personnel and their families, no separate official ceremony will be held, so we ask for your generous understanding."
It also added, "We deeply thank you for the unwavering love you have shown actor Lee Jeong-ha, and we ask for your warm support until the day he completes his sincere service and returns even more grown."
Born in 1998, Lee Jeong-ha debuted in 2017 with the web drama 'Heart Attack Warning' and built his filmography through works such as 'Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung', 'Run On' and 'Nevertheless'. Above all, after rising to global stardom as Kim Bong-seok in the Disney+ hit "Moving", he emerged as a prospect by winning newcomer awards at the Blue Dragon Series Awards and the Baeksang Arts Awards.
However, this enlistment also leaves regrets. Because Lee Jeong-ha will not be able to join "Moving" season 2, confirmed for production next year, there is growing regret over the absence of a character who formed the center axis of the drama.
Meanwhile, Lee Jeong-ha is currently active as elite engineering student Park Jeong-hwan in the Coupang Play X Genie TV original "Heroes Next Door."
