The Price of Confession star Jeon Do-yeon commented on reuniting with Kim Goeun after 10 years.
On the afternoon of the 3rd at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Seoul, a press preview and press conference for the Netflix series The Price of Confession were held. Leading actors Jeon Do-yeon, Kim Goeun, Park Hae-soo and director Lee Jung-hyo attended the event.
The Price of Confession is a mystery thriller that depicts the events between Yoon-su (played by Jeon Do-yeon), who is framed as a suspect in her husband's murder, and Mo-eun (played by Kim Goeun), a mysterious figure called a witch, and the many secrets between the two. It is the new work of director Lee Jung-hyo, who showed stylish direction across genres in the Netflix series Iduna!, and the dramas Crash Landing on You and The Good Wife, and it has drawn attention as Jeon Do-yeon and Kim Goeun reunite for the first time in 10 years since the film The Servant
Jeon Do-yeon passionately played Ahn Yoon-su, who one day becomes a suspect in her husband's murder and accepts a dangerous transaction to regain her daily life; Kim Goeun played Mo-eun, who is called the witch of the age and proposes a dangerous transaction to Yoon-su; and Park Hae-soo played prosecutor Baek Dong-hoon, who obsessively digs into the secrets entangled between them. In the irony where truth becomes falsehood and falsehood becomes truth, the secret transaction between the two women that exchanges confessions as payment is the viewing point.
Reuniting with Kim Goeun after 10 years, Jeon Do-yeon said, "Although we met artistically after 10 years, I met Goeun privately from time to time. So the 10-year gap hardly felt meaningful, and I was curious in terms of the work."
She continued, "When we did The Servant, Kim Goeun was a bit young. To be honest, I was young then, too. Looking at Kim Goeun this time, I wondered, 'Did my growth stop?' (laughs) Kim Goeun has grown so much, and when we did The Servant I thought I was a small source of support, but this time she has been a support to me, and I relied on her a lot," explaining what had changed.
Meanwhile, The Price of Confession will be released on Netflix in about 190 countries on the 5th.
