IVE's Lee Seo is graduating from 'Inkigayo.'
IVE's Lee Seo plans to step down from her SBS 'Inkigayo' MC position after the broadcast on the 7th and will deliver her final farewell to viewers.
The past 1 year and 7 months for Lee Seo was growth itself. After first trying music show MC duties through 'Inkigayo' in April last year, Lee Seo, with her characteristic bright energy and sensible hosting, thoroughly served as a source of vitality on Sunday afternoons. In particular, she perfectly handled a variety of weekly concept skits and showed a fantastic rapport with her fellow MCs.
Additionally, fitting the nickname 'K-pop challenge vending machine,' Lee Seo perfectly learned and showcased the key choreography of returning artists, fully demonstrating her solid performance skills and talent. Also, when IVE finished activities for this year's 'Rebel Heart' comeback and won first place, Lee Seo, representing the members at the time, filled the encore stage alone with a steady live performance, delivering a one-woman-army-level contribution. The video of Lee Seo's live performance ranked on domestic YouTube's 'trending videos' immediately after it was released, proving both her 'all-around entertainer' image and newsworthiness.
Ahead of her final 'Inkigayo' broadcast, Lee Seo, through her agency Starship Entertainment, said, "It was truly an honor to be able to spend every Sunday for 1 year and 7 months with Dive (official fan club name) and the 'Inkigayo' viewers," and added, "Every Sunday was like a gift to me. I may have been clumsy at first, but thanks to your constant support and much love, I think I can finish happily."
She continued, "I really love Dive, who always supported MC Lee Seo, and I want to thank the production staff and Starship employees who worked hard with me, and the fellow MCs," and added, "From now on, as IVE's Lee Seo, I will return with cooler stages and activities, so please continue to give us a lot of support."
IVE, the group Lee Seo belongs to, showcased a diverse musical spectrum this year starting with the pre-release track 'Rebel Heart' from mini album 3, followed by the title track 'Attitude,' and then the mini album 4 title track 'XOXZ.' In particular, through mini album 3, IVE EMPATHY, they expanded perspective from 'I' to 'we,' delivering sincere messages about empathy and comfort, solidarity, and self-assurance, earning praise from listeners.
Also, while IVE has been leading trends in various fields and receiving strong love as an MZ wannabe icon, they recently wrapped up the Seoul performance of their second world tour, 'Show What I Am,' at KSPO DOME with great success. Starting from this, IVE will continue the global momentum by holding tours in various countries across Asia, Europe, the Americas and Oceania.
Meanwhile, Lee Seo is set to have her final SBS 'Inkigayo' MC broadcast on the 7th, and will continue various activities with IVE.
