HYBE and Geffen Records' global girl group KATSEYE is continuing a remarkable run of records on the U.S. Billboard main charts.
According to the latest chart released by Billboard on the 2nd (Korean time) (Dec. 6 issue), KATSEYE's second EP 'BEAUTIFUL CHAOS' track 'Gabriela' rose to No. 41 on the Hot 100.
Even with holiday season songs occupying many of the top spots on the Hot 100, KATSEYE's momentum remains strong. It is on the chart for a cumulative 19 weeks. Except for the Netflix popular animation Kpop Demon Hunters' virtual idol HUNTR/X performing the OST 'Golden' (23 weeks) and 'How It's Done' (22 weeks), and 'Takedown' (20 weeks), there is no song by a real-life girl group that has stayed on the Hot 100 longer this year than 'Gabriela'.
The EP 'BEAUTIFUL CHAOS' that includes 'Gabriela' is also showing a steady presence on Billboard's album charts. 'BEAUTIFUL CHAOS' sits at No. 33 on this week's Billboard 200. Since reaching No. 4 earlier, it has been on the chart for 22 consecutive weeks. In the Top Album Sales and Top Current Album Sales charts, which track physical album sales, the EP ranked No. 12 and No. 11, respectively.
Their first EP released last year, 'SIS (Soft Is Strong)', is also being reexamined as it ranked No. 98 on the Billboard 200. It is an unusual record for an album released a year and three months ago to place No. 17 on Top Album Sales and No. 15 on Top Current Album Sales. KATSEYE's rising popularity is even boosting physical sales.
'Gabriela' not only charted on U.S. Billboard but also climbed to No. 38 on the U.K. Official Charts (Oct. 18 issue) and No. 10 on Spotify's Weekly Top Songs Global (Oct. 3 issue). In addition, it was included in Apple Music editors' recently released Best Songs of 2025 list of 100 songs, recognizing both its artistry and popularity.
Born under Bang Si-hyuk's 'K-pop methodology,' KATSEYE debuted in the United States last June after going through HYBE America's systematic training and development (T&D) system. They were nominated in two categories — Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance — at the 68th Grammy Awards, to be held on Feb. 1 next year.
