Actor Lee Hyun-kyung is taking on a challenge as a trot singer. She has thrown her hat into the ring for TV CHOSUN's trot audition program "Miss Trot 4."
On the 2nd, according to the entertainment industry, Lee Hyun-kyung posted on her social media (SNS) account a photo enlarging her image in the official poster along with the caption, "Miss Trot 4 Lee Hyun-kyung challenge. Together as one of the 88."
Lee Hyun-kyung debuted in 1994 as an MBC 23rd-term open recruitment talent and appeared in the dramas "Cinderella," "Hur Jun," and "Empress Myeongseong." It is, in effect, a trot singer challenge by an actor in the 32nd year since debut.
In particular, Lee Hyun-kyung broke through the highest competition rate across all past Miss Trot series. The competition rate for selecting the 88 contestants for Miss Trot 4 was reportedly 50 to 1.
Meanwhile, Miss Trot 4 features, in addition to Lee Hyun-kyung, 2025 Miss Korea Jin Jung Yeon-u and YouTuber Yoon Yun-seo, who has 1.05 million subscribers.
