JYP Entertainment (hereinafter JYP) will hold the JYP trainee open recruitment 20th audition (hereinafter open recruitment 20th audition) in five cities nationwide.
JYP will conduct the upcoming 2026 open recruitment 20th audition and select the next-generation stars who will lead the future of K-pop. The JYP trainee open recruitment audition is JYP's flagship audition that has produced many global artists such as 2PM Jang Woo-young, TWICE Nayeon and Jeongyeon, Stray Kids Seungmin, NiziU Mako, Xdinary Heroes Jeongsoo, and KickFlip Gyehun. As the JYP trainee open recruitment audition, which has played a pioneering role in discovering new talent for about 20 years, ends with its 20th edition in 2026, it is expected to attract more interest and participation than ever. JYP plans to continue selecting K-pop talent through various forms of auditions, including future global auditions.
The open recruitment 20th audition will begin on Jan. 17, 2026, at Gwangju Ssangchon Youth Culture House, followed by Jan. 18 at DCC Daejeon Convention Center in Daejeon, Jan. 24 at Suyeong District Youth Culture House in Busan, Jan. 25 at Gomjirak Power Station Youth Culture House in Daegu, and will conclude its schedule across five cities with the Seoul audition held over two days from Jan. 31 to Feb. 1 at Jung-gu Youth Center in Seoul. Final winners will be given the opportunity to become JYP trainees.
Applications opened on Dec. 1 and auditions can be applied for through the JYP audition official website until 11:59 p.m. the day before each regional audition is held. Anyone born in 2008 or earlier and before 2016 is eligible to apply, and applicants must choose the one field they are most confident in among five fields: vocal, rap, dance, model, and acting. Detailed information about the open recruitment 20th audition will be released on the JYP audition official website and the JYP casting team SNS channels.
