Group Blackpink member Jennie (JENNIE) continues to write new history with her first solo full-length album "Ruby".
On the 1st (local time), the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced on its official website that "ExtraL (feat. Doechii)", a track from Jennie's first solo full-length album "Ruby" and a pre-release single, has been certified gold.
With this, Jennie has received RIAA certification for a total of four songs, rewriting the record for the most RIAA certifications among K-pop solo artists. Jennie previously received a platinum certification for the collaboration "One Of The Girls" with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp, and gold certifications for "Mantra" and "Like JENNIE."
In particular, Jennie set a new milestone in K-pop history by having three songs from her first full-length album "Ruby" certified by the RIAA.
The RIAA grants certifications based on digital single and album sales as follows: gold (500,000 units or more), platinum (1 million units or more), multi-platinum (2 million units or more), and diamond (10 million units or more).
