The YouTuber Sutak, who was kidnapped and assaulted in an underground parking lot in Songdo, Incheon, recounted the situation at the time and his current condition directly during a live broadcast.
On the 1st, a live broadcast titled "long time no see" was posted on the SOOP channel. In the video, Sutak said, "The surgery went well," and calmly described the aftereffects and psychological state to date, and the specific circumstances of the incident.
On the night of Oct. 26, Sutak was kidnapped and assaulted by a group led by A, who was a used car dealer. He had lent A a large sum of money during a past vehicle transaction and later entrusted A with disposing of the vehicle, but when notices of unpaid fines and tolls continued to arrive, he repeatedly complained. Then A called Sutak to an underground parking lot of an APT. in Songdo, saying, "I will return the money."
Sutak said, "When I opened the front passenger door, he came in saying, 'The money is in the bag,ʼ and told me to check. But the back seat was unusually dark, and when I looked, someone wearing a mask and work gloves was lying there."
At the time he was so startled that he even called 112, but the situation quickly turned violent. He said, "I thought they would flee because I had called the police, but suddenly the two of them choked my neck at the same time and began beating me," and "While trying to block being hit with a baseball bat, my finger was fractured."
Sutak recalled that he was loaded into a vehicle and driven about 200 km toward Geumsan, Chungnam, where he was threatened with questions such as, "How much money do you have?" and "Where is the OTP card?"
Fortunately, the police tracked the vehicle based on Sutak's report and arrested A and his associates in the act four hours later. Sutak suffered major injuries including an orbital fracture, fracture of the ring finger, 35 stitches to the forehead and chin, and reduced vision and hearing on the right side.
Sutak said, "Honestly, I'm still scared to leave the house. My heart races," revealing the aftereffects, and he also lamented, "I'm angry and resentful that someone would try to ruin another person's life so easily when I tried to help in my life. It wasn't fraud, it wasn't a grudge, it was only trust." At the same time, he said, "I'm holding on thanks to fans who want to help a lot. I'm also receiving psychological counseling."
Nevertheless, Sutak expressed his intention to return. "I did nothing wrong. If I hide more, I think I'll get depressed, so I'm trying to return to daily life," he said, adding, "I'll rest only until this week and try to resume broadcasting starting next week."
A and his associates are currently in custody and awaiting trial.<
