Character actor Yeom Dong-heon passed away four years ago.
The late Yeom Dong-heon died at about 11:50 p.m. on Dec. 2, 2022, at the age of 55. He was battling an illness at the time.
His agency asked, "We will remember the late actor who loved acting and was passionate. Please offer your condolences."
The late Yeom Dong-heon majored in Japanese language and literature at Dongguk University and began his acting career on the theater stage in 1994. He gave impressive performances in the plays "Heosaengjeon," "Kisaragi Miki-chan," "Old Bicycle," and "I Love You."
He also appeared in the drama "Beethoven Virus," "City Hall," "Doctor Champ," "Pinocchio," "The Great Prince," "Secret Royal Inspector: Joseon's secret investigative group" and the films "Dalma, Let's Go to Seoul," "Mother," "Haeundae," "The Yellow Sea," "Asura: The City of Madness," and "The Jury." The late Yeom Dong-heon left impressive performances across numerous works regardless of genre or role, cultivating his passion for acting.
The late Yeom Dong-heon's final work was director Kim Sung-soo's film "12.12: The Day." Having actively performed in theater, drama, and film in both supporting and minor roles, he left a deep impression in his last work.
At the news of the late Yeom Dong-heon's sudden passing, Yoon Se-a, who worked with him on the drama "City Hall," wrote on her social media, "I remember. Your warm laughter City Hall mother-in-law market mayor Yeom Dong-heon actor, rest in peace," expressing her condolences. Actress Kim Sun-a, who appeared in "City Hall," and broadcaster Jang Sung-gyu also sent condolence wreaths to the late actor's funeral hall to express their sympathy.
