The group VERIVERY perfectly resolved the resentment (恨) accumulated from a long wait with an all-time legendary comeback.
VERIVERY released their fourth single album Lost and Found on the afternoon of the 1st through various music sites. This release is the first new record in 2 years and 7 months since VERIVERY released their seventh mini album Liminality - EP.DREAM in May 2023, and it arrived amid hotter-than-ever interest, resulting in a high-quality album that fully meets expectations.
In the accompanying music video for RED (Beggin'), scenes of past and present alternate to show VERIVERY's own "Lost and Found" through the contrast between the lost, beautiful youth and the newly encountered desolate reality. Nevertheless, scenes of not giving up and moving forward and the ending boarding an elevator like an escape metaphorically convey that an unknown future awaits VERIVERY.
The music video is filled throughout with the sleek vocals and rapping and dynamic synchronized choreography that only VERIVERY can show, and the musical transformation and visual upgrades lead to heightened anticipation for the stage.
As soon as the music video was released, fans poured out praise and expressed anticipation for VERIVERY's comeback stage with comments such as "The comeback we've waited for a long time! Congratulations to all," "Thanks to VERIVERY, December will be happy," "It was worth waiting for," "VERIVERY will dominate December and take over 2026!," "I watched holding my breath. I'll make sure you get No. 1," and "You can't feel the hiatus at all. This song will own the stage."
This album contains three tracks: the title song RED (Beggin'), which interpolates The Four Seasons' classic Beggin'; "empty," which shows VERIVERY's new mood and sound identity; and the fan song "Cotton Candy (Blame us)," which likens a warm confession to fans to cotton candy that melts in the mouth. Members Dongheon, Gyehyun and Yeonho evenly participated in writing and composing all tracks, proving their value as "creative idols."
In particular, RED (Beggin') captures the album's theme of resentment (恨), with an intense mood melody, a heart-thumping tempo, and lyrics that vividly reveal an obsession and longing to reclaim what was lost, making the entire song feel like a killing part that strongly captivates listeners. The lyric in RED (Beggin'), "Even if everything is lost We'll survive," expresses VERIVERY's desperate yet resilient will to survive no matter what and to recover what was lost.
Also, the comeback D-day vlog released by VERIVERY members on their official channels offered an opportunity to hear each member's thoughts on the album title Lost and Found. The members shared the fear, anxiety and bleakness they felt during the 2 years and 7 months hiatus, praised themselves for enduring with a hunger for the stage, and promised fans that after the comeback they would be a prouder VERIVERY with cooler music and performances, creating a moving moment.
VERIVERY debuted in January 2019 with their first mini album VERI-US and is a seven-year boy group that has been active on various stages. Members Dongheon, Gyehyun and Kangmin participated in Mnet's Boys 2 Planet, which concluded this year amid attention, marking a turning point in popularity for them, and this has led to VERIVERY's dramatic return to the music scene, drawing strong interest.
VERIVERY will begin their comeback performances on KBS 2TV's MUSIC BANK on the 5th, followed by MBC's Show! Music Core and SBS's SBS Inkigayo and other music programs.
