The group Stray Kids achieved an eighth consecutive No. 1 entry on the Billboard 200 with SKZ IT TAPE "DO IT" (Do It).
According to a preview article Billboard released on Nov. 30 (local time), Stray Kids' album SKZ IT TAPE "DO IT," released on Nov. 21, reached No. 1 on the main albums chart the Billboard 200 for the Dec. 6 issue after selling about 295,000 copies in the U.S. in its first week.
With the group's eighth overall No. 1 entry on the Billboard 200, Stray Kids became the first artist in the world to send eight works straight to No. 1 on that chart since their debut, and the group with the most No. 1s in the 2000s. Stray Kids, which has established two new records in 2025 alone on the Billboard 200, a chart boasting a 70-year tradition since March 1956, has solidified its position as a history maker rewriting the history of the global pop market beyond K-pop.
In particular, based on 2025 album sales, this record places them seventh after Taylor Swift, Morgan Wallen, The Weeknd, Sabrina Carpenter, their own fourth studio album "KARMA" released in August, and Playboi Carti. It has also drawn attention as a result following the solo dominance of world star Taylor Swift, who had held the Billboard 200 at No. 1 for seven consecutive weeks amid overwhelming local popularity.
Stray Kids also showed a distinctive presence on the U.K. Official Charts, considered one of the world's three major music charts along with the U.S. Billboard. On the Official Trending Chart, the double title tracks "Do It" and "Sinsennoreum" ranked No. 5 and No. 9 respectively, the album track "Holiday" charted at No. 18, and on the latest Official Singles Chart top 100, "Do It" debuted at No. 35, marking their seventh overall ranking. On the Australian ARIA top 50 singles chart, they achieved the highest position for a K-pop artist this year at No. 10.
Earlier, with "Do It," Stray Kids entered Spotify's daily top songs chart at their career-high positions of No. 11 globally and No. 13 in the U.S., and they also performed well on weekly charts. On the global chart they rose to No. 42, surpassing the No. 60 peak of their previous release "CEREMONY," and they reached No. 82 on the U.S. chart.
"Sinsennoreum," which premiered at the "2025 MAMA AWARDS" held on the 29th, is also gaining worldwide popularity. The music video released on the official YouTube channel on the afternoon of the 27th topped the music video trending worldwide chart for three days from the 28th to the 30th, and notably ranked No. 1 in places including the U.S., Brazil and France.
With two Billboard 200 chart records this year and receiving grand awards, Stray Kids are at the peak of their career, and the world's attention is focused on their not-yet-finished year-end activities.
