Girl group BABYMONSTER transformed into a real-life Huntress at the MAMA, and even met the actual directors of "K-pop Demon Hunters".
Recently, global YouTubers and social media platform account posts captured the meeting between BABYMONSTER and the directors of the Netflix animated film "K-pop Demon Hunters" (abbreviated as Kedehun).
Earlier, BABYMONSTER performed as a main lineup at the "2025 MAMA Awards (MAMA AWARDS, abbreviated as 'MAMA')" held over two days on the 28th and 29th of last month at Hong Kong's Kai Tak Stadium. In particular, BABYMONSTER drew attention by transforming into Huntress, the main character of Kedehun, at this year's MAMA.
BABYMONSTER members Parita, Ahyeon and Rora transformed into the three-member K-pop girl group Huntress from Kedehun and decorated the wonder stage by performing "What It Sounds Like" and "Golden." BABYMONSTER's unrivaled live skills impressed audiences, and the performance, which seemed to break the boundary between animation and reality, offered an emotional depiction of Huntress in live action. Thanks to this, BABYMONSTER's Huntress stage at the MAMA surpassed 5 million views shortly after its release and is currently ranked number one in performer views.
Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER met Kedehun co-director Megi Kang and director Chris Appelhans. Photos of them quickly spread on YouTube and social media, drawing attention to the so-called "Kedemon" squad of Kedehun and BABYMONSTER.
The Kedehun directors reportedly visited the waiting room in person to support BABYMONSTER, who brought the film's OST to life at the MAMA. They exchanged gifts they had prepared in advance and took photos together while sharing warm greetings.
In particular, director Megi Kang is known to have a daughter who is an avid fan of BABYMONSTER. It is reported that his daughter was also delighted to meet BABYMONSTER and took commemorative photos with them.
In the process, BABYMONSTER's depiction that resembled a live-action version of Huntress reportedly moved the Kedehun filmmakers. This has raised expectations that another collaboration between Kedehun and BABYMONSTER might be realized.<
