"Let's live together" Seong Byung-sook revealed the story of struggling financially after her divorce.
On the afternoon of the 1st, the KBS2 variety show Park Won-sook's Let's Live Together featured voice actor-turned-actress Seong Byung-sook.
Seong Byung-sook is known as the voice actor of familiar animated films such as Popeye and Paul of Wonderland, and she also made her voice known as a radio DJ. After that, she served as MC of the popular 1980s music program March of Youth, and recently appeared in popular dramas such as Misaeng and Lovely Runner, continuing to work as a veteran actress.
After her ex-husband's business failed and a 10 billion won debt arose, Seong Byung-sook said she even stood surety and that debt collectors came to the broadcasting station, and she endured a difficult time, she lamented.
Having gone through two divorces, Seong Byung-sook, when asked "Do you still dream of getting married in the future?", said "I'm very happy and comfortable now. I've been divorced twice and both times life became difficult. I think that's my fault," she said. Hwang Seok-jung said, "No, I absolutely don't think that," she said.
Hwang Seok-jung and Hong Jin-hee asked, "How do you recognize and catch men well, what is the method for getting rid of bad men?", and Seong Byung-sook laughed and said, "There is one trick. Say 'Just lend me 10 million won.' If you say that, they already run away. I used that a lot. If you feel a sweet look or an attempt to do something, say 'You know I have a lot of debt, right? Just lend me 5 million won.' That works," she laughed.
She continued, "When you go to weddings, phrases like 'for one year,' 'for three years,' 'they'll live well' clearly stand out. You can tell because you see the in-laws, the bride's family, and both people. So I'm a life senior. I received a comprehensive gift from having been divorced twice," she said.
Hye-eun said, "When I was at my hardest, the first expense I cut was the sauna cost," and Seong Byung-sook recalled, "When I left home I didn't spend a single won. I didn't even eat at the KBS cafeteria. In any case I didn't spend a single won. I lived like that for 10 years. I especially couldn't eat fruit. I couldn't even eat one tangerine. Then I went to church and they gave me a tangerine. I took it home and gave it to my father first and then my mother," she said, adding, "I had never touched or owned the debt myself, but to pay it off I slept four hours a day. At that time I was so grateful that people gave me work here and there. I lived thinking only about one day. I didn't know how much I earned and I didn't spend anything. I spent nothing except for fuel. I lived in rented housing, and when income came in I settled taxes first," she recalled.
Hwang Seok-jung said, "You must have cried secretly alone then," showing sympathy, and Seong Byung-sook added, "I didn't cry secretly alone. If I happened to get teary while walking, I cried," she added.<
