Actor Song Geon-hee enlisted today (1st).
On that day, through the official channel of his agency JG Entertainment, Song Geon-hee posted a long message beginning, "I will be enlisting on Dec. 1. This sudden news must have surprised many of you, but I came to offer my greetings, albeit belatedly."
He went on to say, "As I prepare for my final departure, many thoughts pass through my mind. Originally I should have gone and returned much earlier, but I am entering the military only as I reach my 30s," conveying his feelings.
He added, "Still, I keep the one promise I made when I first started working: the desire to leave behind the fresh image of my 20s. The reason I could keep this promise and the reason I was able to work hard for nine years of filming is because there was always Geon-hee support by my side," expressing gratitude to his fans.
Song Geon-hee said, "I will be away for a while, but I hope you all stay healthy and well until I return, and that you have peaceful days. I will return in good health."
Song Geon-hee first caught the public's attention through the 2018 drama SKY Castle, and later appeared in Joseon Romantic-Comedy: Nokdujeon, Missing: The Other Side, Final Weapon Alice, Joseon Attorney, and Lovely Runner.
