Ju Young-hoon confessed that he felt sorry to his father after recently undergoing major surgery.
On the 1st broadcast of Channel A 'Best Friend Tokyumentary - Table for Four' (hereafter Table for Four), Ju Young-hoon appeared, inviting close friends Yoon Da-hoon and Yoon Jung-soo.
Ju Young-hoon said, "My father was a pastor. Until he died he said music was the devil. I almost got beaten to death for putting up a Madonna poster. My wish was to listen to music with both ears. Fortunately, the church has hymns," he said. He added, "My father tried to send me to seminary. I ran away to Korea to avoid going. I came with $300."
Although Ju Young-hoon first pursued music as a dance singer, he gave it up quickly and became a composer. After that, Ju Young-hoon had a streak of hits as a hit-maker. He cited Um Jung-hwa's "Festival" as his biggest moneymaker song.
Ju Young-hoon also reported that he recently underwent emergency surgery. Ju Young-hoon said, "My appendix ruptured but I couldn't feel it, and the blood gradually spread. It progressed to sepsis without pain. If they hadn't operated immediately, I wouldn't have been able to wait even an hour. A doctor came at dawn, operated, and I was in the intensive care unit for three days."
He continued, "What made me cry was that my father died this year wearing a diaper. (My father insisted on going to the bathroom) Since he was wearing a diaper I told him to just do it. He kept saying he wanted to go to the bathroom. I couldn't understand my father. In the end he went to the bathroom and it led to a bigger accident," he said.
Ju Young-hoon said, "When I lay in the intensive care unit I ended up wearing a diaper. When I wore it there was no space so I couldn't relieve myself. It was three days for me, but I understood why my father did it. I felt the fear he must have felt. The pain was so severe I couldn't sleep," he said, recalling his father and expressing his distress.
