In the first release of the new year 2026, the comedy Heartman, which will make people laugh, has confirmed its release on Wednesday, Jan. 14, and has unveiled two teaser posters.
The film Heartman (director Choi Won-seop, distributed by Lotte Entertainment, produced by Movierock·Like M Company) is a comedy in which Seung-min (Kwon Sang Woo), a man who has returned, struggles to hold onto the first love he meets again, but a Secret: Untold Melody that he can never tell her arises.
The first released Seung-min (Kwon Sang Woo) teaser poster captures attention with a bittersweet expression: a smile at the mouth but tears welling at the eyes. In the lenses of heart-frame sunglasses slightly lowered, first love Bo-na (Moon Chae-won) is reflected, conveying Seung-min's complicated emotions and excitement at once, making viewers curious about the charms he will show in Heartman. The Bo-na teaser poster of Moon Chae-won released alongside completes the legendary first-love atmosphere with a soft, warm smile. The subtly cast heart-shaped frame symbolically expresses the presence of the first love as seen from Seung-min's perspective, raising expectations for the charm Bo-na will display.
In particular, both posters include the phrase "Why is love coming back now?" which heightens interest in the story of the two people unexpectedly encountering each other again.
Meanwhile, the film Heartman is a project that reunites Kwon Sang Woo and director Choi Won-seop, hitmakers of the comedy genre. Joining them are Moon Chae-won, who will show reliable comic chemistry, Park Ji-hwan, who has shown a strong presence in every project, and Pyo Ji-hoon, forming the full lineup of a comedy team boasting a high box-office rate. As a work of production company Movierock, which presented Midnight Runners, Pilot, and Sweet & Sour: 7510, the film is expected to reach audiences as a movie that people of all ages can enjoy without burden.
Having reserved the first comedy spot of the new year of the red horse by releasing teaser posters, Heartman will be available in theaters nationwide on Wednesday, Jan. 14.
