The group Newbeat (NEWBEAT) dominated the Show! Music Core stage with intense energy.
Newbeat (Park Min-seok·Hong Min-seong·Jeon Yeo-yeo-jeong·Choi Seo-hyun·Kim Tae-yang·Jo Yun-hoo·Kim Ri-woo) performed the double title track "LOUD" from their mini album 1st "LOUDER THAN EVER" on MBC's "Show! Music Core," which aired on the 29th.
That day Newbeat took the stage wearing trendy, unique all-black outfits. The members delivered a powerful performance to the intense sound of "LOUD," which blends bass house with rock hyperpop. They brought an old-school vibe interpreted in their own way, heating up the atmosphere at the venue.
In particular, Newbeat enriched the stage with solid vocals uncharacteristic of rookies, overwhelming rapping and stage presence. In addition, their upgraded visuals captivated fans' hearts.
"LOUD" is a song that expresses Newbeat's identity and energy, composed by U.S. renowned songwriter and producer Candace Sosa, who participated in many album projects for BTS, drawing global fans' attention even before its release.
Newbeat, which made a comeback on the 5th, has stood out on various global charts after releasing the mini album 1st "LOUDER THAN EVER." One of the double title tracks, "Look So Good," charted on iTunes in seven countries; notably, it reached No. 1 in the K-pop category, No. 2 in pop and No. 5 overall on the U.S. iTunes music video chart. It also entered No. 81 on South Korea's YouTube Music weekly popular chart, marking its first entry into the top 100.
Newbeat is promoting with the double title tracks "Look So Good" and "LOUD," and will appear on SBS's "Inkigayo," which airs today (the 30th) at 12:25 p.m.
