'Taxi Driver 3' Pyo Ye-jin was responsible for exhilarating fun.
As SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 'Taxi Driver 3' continues its box-office run, Pyo Ye-jin's soda-like (refreshing) performance in the drama captivated home viewers.
Pyo Ye-jin perfectly transformed into Rainbow Transport's genius hacker Ahn Go-eun, and even in 'Taxi Driver 3' episodes 3-4 she projected an even more solid presence. From performances that fixed viewers' eyes on the screen to the decisive moments that cleared the heart, she showed it all.
Ahn Go-eun (played by Pyo Ye-jin)'s golden youngest-sibling traits could be seen from early in the development. That was because she obtained a taxi driver's license. She showed signs of nervousness before the test for a short time, but her bright face conveying the news of passing soon after made viewers' mouths curl upward.
After that, Ahn Go-eun and the Rainbow Heroes started a revenge-for-hire service targeting used-car scam villain Cha Byung-jin (played by Yoon Si-yoon). He learned that O Gi-sa (played by Kim Eun-seok), who had once been a Rainbow Transport family member, had signed a fraudulent contract.
At that moment Ahn Go-eun's gaze changed moment by moment. After receiving the unfortunate news, her eyes fully reflected her complicated feelings. Then heartfelt concern for O Gi-sa, anger toward the group that carried out the fraud, and desire for the operation's success — a variety of emotions appeared in clusters, raising immersion.
Ahn Go-eun-style 'maknae on top' hard carry maximized thrilling catharsis. She not only quickly grasped the situation as a basic skill but also played a key role in executing the operation by anticipating the next move. In addition, her manipulation of the team to solve the case provided laughs, and the powerful punches she delivered to the villain offered exhilaration.
Pyo Ye-jin admirably filled the role as the kick of fun in 'Taxi Driver 3'. Her deftly tuned, precise emotional lines were conveyed through eyes and expressions and other details, and her delivery that captured rhythm and diction summoned absorbing power in every scene.
Also, 'action Go-eun' left a deep impression on many. The punch Pyo Ye-jin threw with an outstretched arm amplified the drama's genre appeal. Wearing the tailored suit of the Ahn Go-eun character, Pyo Ye-jin is delivering a winged performance. Expectations are rising about what new aspects she will show in the story to come.
Meanwhile, SBS's 'Taxi Driver 3', in which Pyo Ye-jin appears, airs every Friday at 9:50 p.m. and Saturday at 9:45 p.m.
