That day Kian84 added Choo Sung Hoon and Kwon Hwa-un to the extreme crew. However, on the much-anticipated departure day, Choo Sung Hoon appeared on crutches and surprised everyone. He said, "I broke two bones yesterday while filming. I oddly fell while riding a jet ski and got caught," he said.
Choo Sung Hoon, who had rushed to the emergency room before departure, said he was told that depending on the situation he might even need surgery. Kian84, suddenly in crisis as the crew was about to begin, could not hide his embarrassment, and Choo Sung Hoon apologized, saying, "I thought maybe there's nothing I can properly do, so I came to help. I'm really sorry."
Choo Sung Hoon said, "It varies by person, but it looks like it will take about a month. I don't care. What I'm worried about is getting on the plane. Once you go up, (because of the pressure) it hurts a lot. It swells." Eventually, an emergency meeting of the production team convened an hour earlier.
Choo Sung Hoon decided to stay in Korea, and he once again expressed his apologies to the team members. Kian84 said, "You will probably miss him more than we will," and Choo Sung Hoon said, "I want to go. I want to go. I'm sorry," and cheered, "Do your best and come back without getting hurt."
Meanwhile, '극한84' is an "ultra-extreme" running variety show in which Kian84 dives into an unimaginably challenging course that exceeds 42.195 km, tests himself in extreme marathon conditions and pushes himself to finish.
