Group TWS captivated fans around the world with a wholehearted performance at the 2025 MAMA Awards.
TWS (Shinyu, Dohun, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, Kyungmin) performed at the 2025 MAMA Awards (hereafter MAMA) held at Hong Kong Kai Tak Stadium on the 28th and staged the title track OVERDRIVE from mini album 4 play hard.
Wearing black ribbons on their chests as they took the stage, they expressed deep condolences via social media to all those affected by the apartment fire in the area before the performance. They also donated 500,000 Hong Kong dollars to the Hong Kong Red Cross and devoted themselves to completing the stage that day, showing the healing and solidarity power of music.
Dohun opened the show with charismatic dance moves. TWS then moved freely over stair structures and executed a synchronized dance break, and with more than 50 dancers they presented a large-scale performance that created a majestic stage. On top of that, the members' unwavering live skills added to the audience's admiration.
TWS won Best New Male Artist and Best Dance Performance Male Group at the awards in their debut year, recognizing their outstanding stage capabilities. Expectations are growing for their future activities this year as they continue to show solid skills and growth.
The title track OVERDRIVE from their mini album 4 play hard, released last month, has remained on the Melon weekly chart thanks to the popularity of the "angtal challenge." The album also surpassed 100,000 units shipped in Japan as of October and received Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.
TWS will continue active activities by appearing at year-end global awards and festivals. Starting with Fuji TV's 2025 FNS Music Festival in Japan on Dec. 3, they are scheduled to attend the 10th Asia Artist Awards 2025 (10th AAA 2025) on Dec. 6, COUNTDOWN JAPAN 25/26 on Dec. 27, and the 40th Golden Disc Awards on Jan. 10 next year.
