Pop star Ed Sheeran makes a shocking confession about marriage through his new song.
On the 29th (local time), Page Six reported that Ed Sheeran made a shocking confession about the difficulties in his married life with his wife Cherry Seaborn on the deluxe edition of his new album "Play."
According to the report, on this album, which includes 13 additional tracks, he revealed how the three-year "Mathematics World Tour" placed a burden on his family life. In "Pronlems" he sings about struggling to resolve the problems that arose in their relationship.
The lyrics read, "The flowers in our garden are withering. When did the water dry up? Who knows? But if you want the truth, we are not okay. We have a problem, and we don't know how to Korea Coast Guard it."
On another track, "War Game," he further emphasizes these anxious feelings, singing, "Every day we feel drained. We're trying to adapt to all the changes. The reality we will create. You are all I want. But my love alone doesn't seem to be enough."
Meanwhile, in "Regrets," Ed Sheeran talks about the guilt he feels as a parent for the time spent apart from his young daughters. He said, "You are still so young that you don't understand that daddy will come home. Every time I leave the house, you think I'm gone forever. Maybe it's because of the hundreds of video calls and phone calls where I said 'good night.' This tour has to end, but why? I've missed too much and I really have to make it up."
Ed Sheeran announced his engagement to Cherry Seaborn in January 2018. He later welcomed two daughters in August 2020 and May 2022.
