The 2026 most-anticipated play "Secret Passage" has released character posters for six cast members: Yang Gyeong-won, Kim Seon-ho, Kim Sung-kyu, Lee Si-hyung, Oh Gyeong-ju, and Kang Seung-ho.
The production company ContentHap has abruptly revealed the six character posters for the play "Secret Passage," which had recently stirred fans' curiosity and interest after being shown only as shadow silhouettes on its official SNS.
The play "Secret Passage" tells the story of two people who meet in an unfamiliar space with their memories of life lost, and through books holding intertwined memories they confront life and death, the relationships and deaths read in the small gaps between, and a review of repeated lives.
In the character posters released this time, Yang Gyeong-won, Kim Seon-ho, and Kim Sung-kyu, who play the man "Dong-jae," who seems to have been living through familiar times for as long as he can remember, are dressed in shirts and jackets and stare straight ahead with complex emotions in their eyes amid numerous shadows that resemble yet differ from themselves.
Also, Lee Si-hyung, Oh Gyeong-ju, and Kang Seung-ho, who play the man "Seo-jin," who begins firing questions in the unfamiliar space, wear only thin shirts and likewise convey a difficult-to-describe emotional arc through their eyes among the many shadows.
The character posters, which concisely capture the time of "Dong-jae" and "Seo-jin," who have experienced repeated lives and deaths for a very long time, and the question they face — "When on earth can we die completely?" — through the shadows that pass them and the actors' refined gazes and emotional lines alone, hint at the dramatic density that the play "Secret Passage" will offer and are drawing attention.
The play "Secret Passage" is based on the original work "The Meeting Room of Flaws" by Tomohiro Maekawa, a playwright and director who represents the Japanese theater world and whose honors include the Yomiuri Theater Awards' best director and best play awards. It is directed by the young artist Min Sae-rom, who has been spotlighted in Korea's theater scene for works such as "Jellyfish," "On the Beat," and "Repairing the Living," and produced by ContentHap, a production company that developed a new and original story and achieved box office success, making it one of the most anticipated plays of '26.
Meanwhile, the casting lineup of six trusted actors — Yang Gyeong-won, Kim Seon-ho, Kim Sung-kyu, Lee Si-hyung, Oh Gyeong-ju, and Kang Seung-ho — each taking on the demanding challenge of multiple roles, promises to portray the play with delicacy, sharpness and at times humor, raising expectations for the production by name alone, and each time related content is released it receives great response from fans.
The play "Secret Passage," which has emerged as a 2026 most-anticipated work, is scheduled to open on Feb. 13 (Fri) next year and run through May 3 (Sun) at the NOL Theater Daehangno Medium Theater. <
