Actor Seo Beom-jun revealed a past connection with Yoo Ji-tae that drew attention.
On the 28th broadcast of MBC I Live Alone (directed by Heo Hang·Kang Ji-hee·Kim Jin-gyeong·Lee Kyung-eun·Moon Ki-young), actor Seo Beom-jun's ninth year living-alone single life was revealed.
In that day's broadcast, Seo Beom-jun was shown working part time at a cafe run by his older sister. Passing a display case filled with various desserts, he headed straight for the kitchen and started packing a bulk order of 700 butter bars, showing the deft handiwork befitting someone in his ninth year of living alone. The cast members who saw this expressed both surprise and admiration, saying, "Do you work at a bakery?" and "Do you get paid in bread?"
Seo Beom-jun said he often works at his sister's shop even on his days off, recalling, "I worked part time at a cafe and I also worked at bars and PC rooms. While working part time I met senior Yoo Ji-tae. It was probably when I was 20. I gather people who work many part-time jobs and make documentaries about them," he recalled at the time.
Park Na-rae also said she watched the video and added, "I heard he gathers people who work many part-time jobs and makes documentaries. Yoo Ji-tae went there to support those who dream of becoming actors."
Seo Beom-jun went on, "I wanted to meet him once, and I saw him at a film screening. When I greeted him, he remembered me and even gave me his contact information. I received his support as well. I had made him my role model after watching his interviews, and when I actually heard those words it was such a happy and precious moment," he said, his voice choking with emotion.
Meanwhile, Seo Beom-jun made an impression on viewers by sweeping the rookie awards at the 2024 KBS·SBS acting awards. In the recently concluded drama Would You Marry Me?, he played Jung So-min's "pitiful ex-boyfriend" role, and he starred in It's Beautiful Now and The First Night With the Duke.
