Kim So-hee, who had announced her retirement from the entertainment industry, drew attention by returning to an official event.
On the afternoon of Nov. 28, a VIP screening of the film Information Source was held at Megabox COEX in Seoul.
Several stars attended the screening that day, and singer-actress Kim So-hee caught attention by appearing at an official event for the first time in a long while.
Kim So-hee competed on the 2017 SBS audition program K-pop Star season 6 and finished as the runner-up, after which she debuted in the girl group Alice. She also worked as a solo singer and showed potential as an actress by appearing in the Ving Original After-school War Activities.
However, in April last year she announced in a handwritten letter that she would marry a businessman 15 years her senior and retire from the entertainment industry at the same time. She was 25 at the time, and because she decided to marry quickly and announced her retirement, it caused shock.
At the time Kim So-hee said, "I am happy to share this news, but on the other hand I feel sorry when I think of fans, Blis, friends and acquaintances who may be surprised because it is so sudden. Now I want to live a second life as Kim So-hee, not Alice So-hee. I will live happily so you will not worry as much as you have loved me."
Appearing for the first time a year after announcing her retirement, she appeared in an elegant mood wearing a white coat paired with a black turtleneck. She even made a surprise appearance in the film Information Source. Information Source was the last project she filmed before her retirement, and she finished filming while preparing for her wedding, the report said.
Kim So-hee said, "I am so nervous that the long-awaited Information Source has been released. There are many exciting points throughout the film. Please enjoy it comfortably and spread the word a lot."
Meanwhile, Information Source is a crime action comedy about former ace detective Oh Nam-hyeok (Heo Sung-tae), who after being demoted has lost his passion, will and investigative instincts, and informant Jo Tae-bong (Jo Bok-rae), who provided information on major cases and pocketed ill-gotten gains, who by chance get involved in a big scheme, and it opens in theaters on Dec. 3.
