After receiving an apology and a written apology from the minor who spread false information about them, Nasanghyunssi Band submitted a withdrawal of the complaint.
On the 28th, Jaenewer Co., Ltd. said, "We were proceeding with a criminal complaint against the person who spread false information (hereinafter the suspect) about our artist Nasanghyunssi Band through Jeongdok Law Firm, and after receiving the suspect's sincere apology and the written apology prepared as a result, we submitted a withdrawal of the complaint on Nov. 26, 2025."
Jaenewer said, "A few months ago, the suspect publicly posted online content that amounted to false information that would inevitably lead people to think a member of Nasanghyunssi Band was morally inappropriate. While pursuing the complaint, we were able to identify the suspect. Through the suspect's parents and legal representatives, we confirmed that the suspect is a minor and that the suspect's mental and physical state is significantly weaker than what one would generally expect. After receiving the suspect's sincere apology, the written apology, and the settlement agreement, we submitted a withdrawal of the complaint regarding spreading false information, defamation under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, obstruction of business, and disparagement against the suspect. The agreed terms do not include any monetary matters."
They added, "In addition to this case, we are pursuing several other complaints and accusations, and even if it takes time, we intend to determine legal responsibility for each case. We are doing this not to punish anyone but because we want misunderstandings and false information about our artists to disappear as soon as possible. Posts online alleging immoral behavior by artists that have since disappeared are all not true. We deeply acknowledge responsibility for the company's and the artists' inadequate initial responses, and we promise to do our best going forward to ensure the rights of our artists are not violated in this way."
In May, when an allegation of sexual assault against Nasanghyun arose, he posted an apology regarding it. But a month later, the agency abruptly dismissed the sexual assault allegation, saying, "Nasanghyun posted a statement preemptively on the premise of moral responsibility even though the facts had not been sufficiently confirmed," and added, "We have received and are investigating complaints and accusations related to Nasanghyunssi Band, including violations of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation), obstruction of business, insult, and spreading false information."
