The mother of the late actress Kim Sae-ron expressed strong regret over remarks by lawyer Go Sang-rok, legal representative for Kim Soo-hyun, and said she filed a complaint with the Korean Bar Association and the Seoul Bar Association. She also raised her voice that secondhand harm and malicious comments from fans have continued since the first statement released the previous day.
On the 27th, Kim Sae-ron's mother said in a second statement, "After much deliberation I released a statement yesterday, but what came back was Go Sang-rok lawyer's mockery and sarcasm."
She said that Lawyer Go used insulting expressions on social media targeting the late Kim Sae-ron such as "bipolar crazy person," "emotionally unstable nammisae," and "underage nammisae," and strongly raised the issue. She also alleged he made sarcastic comments toward the bereaved family, saying, "those who gave the deceased's honor to dogs," and "they are really amazingly protecting the deceased's honor."
The mother said, "Today we filed a complaint related to disciplinary action with the Korean Bar Association and the Seoul Bar Association."
Kim Sae-ron's mother appealed that even after releasing the statement the previous day, harassment by Kim Soo-hyun's fans did not stop. She said, "Malicious comments continue toward the bereaved family, my sister, my sister's children and acquaintances," and added, "They even tell us to 'submit the phone' and to 'get investigated quickly,' saying don't delay the investigation."
She went on to say, "We cooperated faithfully with all investigations through July and voluntarily submitted all electronic devices such as Sae-ron's phone to actively assist the investigation."
She pointed out about Kim Soo-hyun, "As far as I know, he still has not been investigated in the case we filed in May for false accusation and violation of the Child Welfare Act," and added, "I am very curious why fans are urging action, saying the investigation results are not coming out quickly."
On the 27th, however, Lawyer Go for Kim Soo-hyun said on his channel, "The responsibility for making the deceased in her minor years appear to be an 'emotionally unstable woman who cannot live without a man' lies with the bereaved family's immoral decision." He also argued about the evidence presented that Kim Soo-hyun dated Kim Sae-ron when she was a minor, saying, "Among the vast amount of photos and KakaoTalk conversations that remain on the deceased's phone and cloud, they gathered all materials that cannot identify the male counterpart and, since they have to pin it all on one person, there is ultimately no consistency between the materials and the situation is completely unmanageable."
Earlier, Lawyer Go argued, "The essence of this case is evidence manipulation," and said, "The false frame spread through domestic and foreign media has caused serious adverse effects not only to the actor's personal reputation but also to the Korean Wave industry." He pointed out, "They fabricated adult-era photos as evidence from the minor years and disguised letters from military service as love letters."
He also urged the bereaved family, "Clearly present the basis for concluding that the other party in the 2016 and 2018 KakaoTalk conversations was Kim Soo-hyun," and added, "If you are really confident, you should submit the entire group chat at that time to investigative authorities."
Currently, the Kim Soo-hyun side and the bereaved family of the late Kim Sae-ron have filed countersuits over defamation, false accusation and violation of the Child Welfare Act. As statements and disclosure of materials from both sides continue and the public battle intensifies, public attention is focused on the results that investigative authorities will ultimately produce.

Hello. I am Sae-ron's mother.
Yesterday, Nov. 26, 2025, after much deliberation I released a statement. But what came back were mockery and insults from Go Sang-rok, legal representative for Kim Soo-hyun, toward Sae-ron and the bereaved family. Lawyer Go Sang-rok insulted Sae-ron on his social media, calling her "bipolar crazy person," "emotionally unstable nammisae," and "underage nammisae," and he sneered or mocked the bereaved family, saying, "they are amazingly protecting the deceased's honor," and "those who gave the deceased's honor to dogs."
Therefore, today we filed a complaint related to disciplinary action against Lawyer Go Sang-rok with the Korean Bar Association and the Seoul Bar Association.
When I released the statement yesterday I said Kim Soo-hyun's fans were continuously carrying out secondary harm toward the bereaved family, my sister and my sister's children and acquaintances. But even after the statement was released, Kim Soo-hyun's fans have not stopped the secondary harm, and furthermore they are leaving malicious comments urging that the investigation not be delayed, telling us to submit phones or to get investigated quickly. At the same time they are pressuring investigative authorities for the investigation results.

In contrast, as far as I know Kim Soo-hyun still has not been investigated in the case we filed in May for false accusation and violation of the Child Welfare Act. Finally, I earnestly ask Kim Soo-hyun's fans to stop secondary harm and the spread of false information and to wait for the investigation results.
